In Brussels, the 2nd Congress of the Russian Social Democratic Workers Party takes place:

A congress that created the basis for the the party of the Bolsheviks, the party of revolution and the dictatorship of the proletariat. In the history of the CPSU (Bol.) which was published in 1938 (Greek edition by "New Books", Athens 1945) ) we red in relation to it:
"1. The congress marked the victory of Marxism against economism, against the open opportunism.
2. The congress approved the program and the constitution, created the social democratic party and thus set the basis for a united party
3. The congress revealed that there were serious organisational differences, which divided the party between Bolsheviks and Mensheviks. The Bolsheviks defending the organisational principles of revolutionary social democracy, while the Mensheviks are rolling in the swamp (!) of looseness (flabiness?) and opportunism.
4) The congress showed that the old opportunists, that had been defeated by the party the "economists", are starting to be replaced slowly in the party by new opportunists, the Mensheviks.
5) The congress was not able to deal effectively with organisational problems, it hesitated, and in some case gave ground to the Mensheviks. In spite of the fact that in the end it found itself it was not able, not only to uncover the opportunism of the Menshevics in relation to organisational matters and to isolate them inside the party, but neither to place such a task to the party.
This was one of the main reasons, that the struggle between the Bolsheviks and the Menshevics not only did not die down after the congress, but on the contrary it became more intense."
The 2nd congress of the RSDW party was and will remain historic, because it established Bolshevism as the consistent revolutionary current within the working class movement. It was Marxism in the era of Imperialism.

Πραγματοποιείται στις Βρυξέλλες το 2ο Συνέδριο του Ρωσικού Σοσιαλδημοκρατικού Εργατικού Κόμματος, το οποίο έβαλε τις βάσεις για το κόμμα των μπολσεβίκων, το κόμμα της επανάστασης και της δικτατορίας του προλεταριάτου. Στην ιστορία του ΚΚΣΕ (μπ.), που εκδόθηκε στην ΕΣΣΔ το 1938 (ελληνική έκδοση «Τα νέα βιβλία ΑΕ» Αθήνα 1945), διαβάζουμε σχετικά:
«1) Το συνέδριο επισφράγισε τη νίκη του μαρξισμού ενάντια στον οικονομισμό, ενάντια στον ανοιχτό οπορτουνισμό.
2) Το συνέδριο ψήφισε το πρόγραμμα και το καταστατικό, δημιούργησε το σοσιαλδημοκρατικό κόμμα και καθόρισε έτσι τα πλαίσια για ένα ενιαίο κόμμα.3) Το συνέδριο φανέρωσε πως υπάρχουν σοβαρές οργανωτικές διαφωνίες, που δίχασαν το κόμμα σε μπολσεβίκους και μενσεβίκους. Οι πρώτοι υπερασπίζουν τις οργανωτικές αρχές της επαναστατικής σοσιαλδημοκρατίας, ενώ οι δεύτεροι κυλάνε στο βούρκο της πλαδαρότητας και του οπορτουνισμού.
4) Το συνέδριο έδειξε πως τους παλιούς οπορτουνιστές, που είχαν κιόλας νικηθεί από το κόμμα, τους "οικονομιστές", αρχίζουν να τους αντικαθιστούν σιγά σιγά μέσα στο κόμμα καινούριοι οπορτουνιστές, οι μενσεβίκοι.
5) Το συνέδριο δε στάθηκε στο ύψος του πάνω στα οργανωτικά προβλήματα, δίστασε, έδωσε κάπου - κάπου την υπεροχή στους μενσεβίκους. Μ' όλο που στο τέλος ξαναβρήκε τον εαυτό του, δεν κατόρθωσε, όχι μονάχα να ξεσκεπάσει τον οπορτουνισμό των μενσεβίκων στα οργανωτικά ζητήματα και να τους απομονώσει μέσα στο κόμμα, μα ούτε και να θέσει μπροστά στο κόμμα τέτοιο καθήκον.
Το τελευταίο αυτό ήταν μια από τις κυριότερες αιτίες, που ο αγώνας ανάμεσα στους μπολσεβίκους και τους μενσεβίκους, όχι μόνο δεν εκόπασε μετά το συνέδριο, μα αντίθετα οξύνθηκε ακόμα παραπάνω».
Το 2ο Συνέδριο του ΣΔΕΚΡ ήταν και θα παραμένει ιστορικό, γιατί εδραίωσε το μπολσεβικισμό σαν το συνεπές επαναστατικό ρεύμα στο εργατικό κίνημα. Ήταν ο μαρξισμός στην εποχή του ιμπεριαλισμού.
